Two supervised chemometric algorithms (discriminant analysis and artificial neutral networks) were used to elaborate the protein transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) data of 63 strawberry samples from 2 cultivars harvested in 2002 from Italy. This technique allowed the discrimination of the cultivars using only 2 variables. Measurements were non-destructive on single fruits.

Abstract

Two supervised chemometric algorithms (discriminant analysis and artificial neutral networks) were used to elaborate the protein transfer reaction-mass spectrometry (PTR-MS) data of 63 strawberry samples from 2 cultivars harvested in 2002 from Italy. This technique allowed the discrimination of the cultivars using only 2 variables. Measurements were non-destructive on single fruits.
