Abstract

Microstructural changes induced by ball milling under different conditions and posterior annealing in Fe-40Al at% B2 alloys have been studied. High speed milling results in more disordered samples and milling media contamination, which affects the thermal reordering. The microhardness is closely correlated to the concentration of antisite defects of the samples.
