Entrepreneurial burnout, a state of physical and emotional exhaustion caused by prolonged exposure to entrepreneurial stressors, poses a growing risk to individual well-being and economic resilience. This study extends the conceptual framework of Delladio and Caputo (2024) by offering a policy-oriented perspective grounded in a systematic literature review of 55 peer-reviewed studies across multiple disciplines. The analysis identifies burnout as an ecosystemic condition shaped by resource depletion, structural strain, and insufficient institutional safeguards. The findings inform a multi-level policy framework combining resource-based, structural, and resilience-oriented measures. Promoting mental health literacy, strengthening social networks, and embedding psychological support within entrepreneurship policy emerge as key priorities. Supporting entrepreneurs’ well-being is not only vital for personal health but also for sustaining innovation and long-term economic sustainability.
