This paper aims at mapping and systematizing the research produced around cultural intelligence in management studies. To do so, a bibliometric analysis of 513 articles retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database has been made via the bibliometrix package in R, covering a range of studies from 2002 until 2020. The analyses present results concerning the performance of CQ research published in scientific journals, the geography of CQ research, and the identification of the main articles and thematic areas of research. Future research directions are drawn from the state of the art of cultural intelligence research.
