The article summarizes a long (2 years) training course to teachers of a sample of schools in Northern Italy (1769 middle and high school students) where a trial was conducted on a ‘before and after’ a design, to test – successfully - the hypothesis of the greater efficacy of ‘cooperative learning ' method on the affective and cognitive dimensions of learning.
