A novel unsupervised technique for the detection of changes in multi-temporal remote sensing images is presented. It adaptively exploits the spatial-contextual information contained in the neighbourhood of each pixel to reduce the effects of noise and hence to increase change-detection accuracy. In addition, the proposed definition of an adaptive pixel neighbourhood allows a precise location of the borders of changed areas. © 2000 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

Abstract
A novel unsupervised technique for the detection of changes in multi-temporal remote sensing images is presented. It adaptively exploits the spatial-contextual information contained in the neighbourhood of each pixel to reduce the effects of noise and hence to increase change-detection accuracy. In addition, the proposed definition of an adaptive pixel neighbourhood allows a precise location of the borders of changed areas. © 2000 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.File in questo prodotto:
