η1-Allylplatinum(II) complexes of the type trans-Pt(η1-C3H5)(phosphine2)Cl-((phosphine)2 = (PPh3)2, (P(C6H11)3)2) have been shown to react with carbon monoxide in benzene to give products of insertion of CO into the σ-metal-carbon bond. The acyl group has the allyl double bond unconjugated with the carbonyl moiety, which was indicated by 1H NMR spectroscopy and confirmed by an X-ray structural determination in the case of trans-Pt(COCH2CHCH2)(PPh3)2Cl. The reaction mechanism is discussed in respect of allyl group coordination and the role of the solvent. © 1990.

Abstract
η1-Allylplatinum(II) complexes of the type trans-Pt(η1-C3H5)(phosphine2)Cl-((phosphine)2 = (PPh3)2, (P(C6H11)3)2) have been shown to react with carbon monoxide in benzene to give products of insertion of CO into the σ-metal-carbon bond. © 1990.File in questo prodotto:
