A theoretical determination of the hadronic contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the tau lepton is obtained using an approach based on QCD sum-rules. The result is compared with the phenomenological value for the hadronic corrections and the role of the vacuum condensation parameters is discussed. Furthermore, using a dispersion relation, a prediction for a linear combination of the anomalous magnetic moments of the tau and muon is obtained.

Abstract
