La politica ecclesiastica italiana tra proiezioni esterne e ricadute interne: oservazioni a partire dalla nomina degli Inviati Speciali per la libertà religiosa nel mondo

RECENT ITALIAN ECCLESIASTICAL POLICY: EXTERNAL PROJECTIONS AND INTERNAL IMPACT. OBSERVATIONS STARTING FROM THE APPOINTMENT OF THE SPECIAL ENVOYS FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM WORLDWIDE. In recent years, it seems that the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has renewed its interest in the role of religion in international relations and in third countries. But what are the internal implications? This essay examines the relationship between promoting freedom of religion or belief abroad on the one hand, and ecclesiastical policy within Italy on the other. It focuses on the appointment of two Special Envoys: one for protecting religious freedom and promoting interreligious dialogue, and the other for promoting religious freedom and protecting religious minorities worldwide.
