We thank Dr. Quinn for his interest in our paper and data provided from postmortem human samples.1 We agree with Dr. Quinn's suggestions that narrowing of the visceral arterioles and large numbers of abnormal nerves around injured arterioles may potentially contribute to the variable response to renal denervation (RDN) observed in human clinical trials.
