Size constancy requires the brain to scale retinal image size according to object distance. Using real objects, restricted viewing, and arm-based distance information, this study examines how fMRI responses in visual and somatosensory regions support size perception and visually guided action. The results highlight the contribution of visuo-proprioceptive integration to the neural mechanisms underlying size constancy.

Abstract
Size constancy requires the brain to scale retinal image size according to object distance. Using real objects, restricted viewing, and arm-based distance information, this study examines how fMRI responses in visual and somatosensory regions support size perception and visually guided action. The results highlight the contribution of visuo-proprioceptive integration to the neural mechanisms underlying size constancy.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione
