Abstract
Lines 397–98 of Euripides’ Andromache have often been considered an interpolation and have therefore been emended, transposed, or athetized by editors. This paper reexamines the textual issues surrounding these two lines and argues in favor of their authenticity and traditional form, offering a new interpretation of their meaning within the broader discursive context in which they appear.File in questo prodotto:
