A survey of farmers' practices, particularly the use of pesticides, was carried out among members of the Fédération des paysans du Fouta Djallon in Guinea. Two hundred and sixty-nine surveys were carried out in six prefectures, and a workshop to analyse the results and reflect on reducing pesticide use was organised in 2023. This article presents the context of the practices, the main results and suggests ways of reducing pesticide use. The difficulties of reducing pesticide use are discussed, as are the prospects for collective action.

Abstract
A survey of farmers' practices, particularly the use of pesticides, was carried out among members of the Fédération des paysans du Fouta Djallon in Guinea.
