Filosofia religiosa, Medioevo ed Evo Moderno nel confronto di Ernesto Buonaiuti con Rudolf Otto

This article deals with the question of how Ernesto Buonaiuti fs compar¬ison with Rudolf Otto, by affinity and by difference, involves both the level ofgeneral reflection on religion, and the level of reconstruction and evalua¬tion of the history of Christianity, in particular in the complex relationships between Middle and Modern Ages. Instead of a mere dependence on Otto in Buonaiuti, we can observe an interlocution that is useful for the Italian his¬torian to resume some aspects of his "modernist" youth, taking into account of what he himself had subsequently elaborated.
