Starting with his dissertation on Jacob Böhme, a true philosopher of birth, Martin Buber proposed a highly articulated philosophical conception of birth, which emerges in all his works. Fundamental themes are the detachment of birth, the transition from the symbiotic relationship with the mother in intrauterine life to the conscious relationship, the newborn's encounter with the world of others and of things, the symbolic significance of birth and childbirth, and the irruption of the ‘new’ into the world thanks to each new birth.

Abstract
Starting with his dissertation on Jacob Böhme, a true philosopher of birth, Martin Buber proposed a highly articulated philosophical conception of birth, which emerges in all his works. Fundamental themes are the detachment of birth, the transition from the symbiotic relationship with the mother in intrauterine life to the conscious relationship, the newborn's encounter with the world of others and of things, the symbolic significance of birth and childbirth, and the irruption of the ‘new’ into the world thanks to each new birth.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
