I bisogni di competenza specialistica percepiti dagli infermieri

This article explores the perceived need for specialized competencies among nurses across six regions in Italy. A convenience sample of 139 nurses from various fields (medical, intensive/emergency, surgical, and others) participated, with data collection focusing on situations where they sought advice from expert colleagues. The analysis categorized the problems into clinical assessment, complex case management, wound management, technical procedures, venous catheter management, organization, patient education, and ethical issues. The findings highlighted the critical role of advanced clinical competencies, such as the ability to assess and interpret patient conditions, manage complex cases, and use specialized medical equipment, underscoring the need for continuous professional development to meet these demands effectively.
