The category of "Political Romanticism" identifies an incredibly large area of research, whose boundaries are still not dear today. Discussing the recent Italian translation of a book by Michael Lowy e Robert Sayre (Rwolta e malinconia, 2017), this article argues that this notion (despite its uncertainty) is still relevant not only to understand the emergence of the fascist ideology, but also to open new perspectives in the history of subjectivity and in politics of literature.
