Il sacro, il profano, il privato: parentela e religione nel dibattito antropologico

Kinship and religion represent two important fields of anthropological enquiry, although their relations are more rarely analysed within the same framework. In relation to the anthropology of Europe, they seem also to have shared until recently a common destiny as social dimensions confined into the «private» individual or domestic practices. This contribution aims at offering a critical overview of studies on the kinship-religion nexus, of how they address the relation between anthropology «at home» and «away from home» and to point out at present/future pathways of inquiry.
