Awards Presented at the IGARSS 2022 Banquet [Conference Reports]

The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society’s (GRSS’s) 2022 publications, symposium, and special awards were presented at the IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS) awards banquet held at the Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur on 21 July 2022. The Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur is one of the best hotels in Kuala Lumpur, strategically located in the heart of the city. During the dinner, GRSS President David Kunkee, Symposium Awards Chair Francesca Bovolo, Special Awards Chair Jasmeet Judge, Major Awards Chair Alberto Moreira, and Publications Awards Chair Antonio Plaza presented the following awards: ◗ the IEEE GRSS Transactions Prize Paper Award ◗ the IEEE GRSS Letters Prize Paper Award ◗ the IEEE GRSS Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing (J-STARS) Prize Paper Award ◗ the IEEE GRSS Highest Impact Paper Award ◗ the IEEE GRSS Early Career Award ◗ the IEEE GRSS Regional Leader Award ◗ the IEEE GRSS Symposium Prize Paper Award (SPPA) ◗ the IEEE GRSS Symposium Interactive Session Prize Paper Award ◗ three IEEE GRSS Student Prize Paper Awards, including the IEEE Mikio Takagi Student Prize ◗ four IEEE GRSS Excellence in Technical Communication Student Prize Awards.
