1994 was an important year for the history of art in Trentino. A cycle of frescoes of outspoken knightly taste with carousels, crowned kings and fortified walls was discovered in a house of via della Terra in the historical center of Rovereto, where no evidence of medieval secular paintings had been found until then. Despite the crucial importance that the discovery repre sents within the local historical and artistic panorama, little attention has been devoted to it so far. This research attempts precisely to contribute to the study and knowledge of this cycle.
