La "Verdadera relación de la conquista del Perú" de Francisco López de Jerez. Dos versiones quinientistas italianas frente a frente

The "Verdadera relación de la conquista del Perú y provincia del Cuzco, llamada la Nueva Castilla", written by Francisco López de Jerez, gave europeans the chance to know the events that distinguished the Castilian exploration of peruvian territory under incan rule and its military conquest. In the first half of the 16th century two different Italian translations were published (1535 and 1556). In this article we intend to confront both versions in order to measure the stilistic and linguistic development which made the original historical report became a literary work.
