I Buoni: Violenza divina e decreazione

This essay reads Luca Rastello's latest novel, I Buoni, and more generally his entire work, in light of the paradigm of political theology. A paradigm, exempli-fied through the thought of Walter Benjamin and Simone Weil, not necessarily present in the author's conscience (even if they are authors he had certainly read), but implicit in the messianic aspirations of which his generation is was the last spokesperson between the old and the new millennium. A thought of the salvific disaster, which, at present, has been replaced by nothing but the fear of disaster tout court.
