Theories of (social) justice can be considered as normative representations of society in society. If the answer to the impact of disappointed, but irrenounceable expectations is in fact normative rather than cognitive, «justice» has always been one of the privileged terms used by societies to describe themselves as unities, despite the evidence to the contrary. From this perspective, attentive to lived experiences, it is therefore not incorrect to speak of a priority of injustice. On the other hand, it is reasonable to assume that theories of justice lose their effectiveness with the variations of the societies that are trying to stylize themselves normatively in them. In an age when protests against injustice seem to rise more and more widespread and variously motivated, it may therefore be appropriate not to limit ourselves to a refinement of traditional normative theories, but to respond to the appeal of justice first of all by elaborating descriptive reconstructions of contemporary society that are adequate to its complexity.

Abstract
Theories of (social) justice can be considered as normative representations of society in society. If the answer to the impact of disappointed, but irrenounceable expectations is in fact normative rather than cognitive, «justice» has always been one of the privileged terms used by societies to describe themselves as unities, despite the evidence to the contrary. From this perspective, attentive to lived experiences, it is therefore not incorrect to speak of a priority of injustice. On the other hand, it is reasonable to assume that theories of justice lose their effectiveness with the variations of the societies that are trying to stylize themselves normatively in them. In an age when protests against injustice seem to rise more and more widespread and variously motivated, it may therefore be appropriate not to limit ourselves to a refinement of traditional normative theories, but to respond to the appeal of justice first of all by elaborating descriptive reconstructions of contemporary society that are adequate to its complexity.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
