The commercial availability of quite inexpensive cameras working in the thermal infrared range, is nowadays leading to a promising and modern interpretation of several educational issues concerning heat processes. In this work, a brief review of some experiments and their theoretical explanation is presented to address these themes in a somewhat unconventional approach.
