2Cd contain the digitalisations of the phonographic recordings of the voices of Italian prisoners in the Austrian fields of the First World War; historical and linguistic essays; monographs of 12 dialectologists on single recordings: playback, new phonetic transcription and critical reanalysis. Dialectologists authors of the monographs are: Antonietta Arrigoni e Marco Savini (Lombardia), Lorenzo Coveri (Liguria), Silvia Calamai (Toscana), Giovanni Manzari (Puglia), John Trumper e Marta Maddalon (Calabria), Vito Matranga e Roberto Sottile (Sicilia), Antonietta Dettori, Nicoletta Puddu e Daniela Mereu (Sardegna). The introductory essays to the dialectological section are by Serenella Baggio and Stefano Bannò.
