In the European Research project SlimAPP "Slim-Floor Beams - Preparation of application rules in view of improved safety, functionality and LCA", an extensive test program for slim-floor beams was realised in order to gain a deeper understanding of the special behaviour of slim-floor systems. The testing program comprises of push-out tests, shear-beam tests, flexural beam tests and beam tests to identify the time-dependent effects, as creep and shrinkage. By the choice of a basic cross-section and realisation of the different tests series with the same parameters using comparable material characteristics, the transfer of the results between the different test series has been assured. In this paper the different test series, their parameters and results are presented in detail. The results also allow to draw conclusions on the special type of connection between steel and concrete (CoSFB) and give insight in the load and deformation behaviour of slim-floor beams also regarding this type of connection. The know-how on the carrying behaviour of slim floor beams may lead to a more efficient and economic design.

Abstract
