Appartenenza religiosa e appartenenza di genere nell'Islam, tra interpretazioni classiche e istanze moderne

RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION AND GENDER IDENTITY IN ISLAM, BETWEEN CLASSICAL INTERPRETATIONS AND MODERN INSTANCES. The relationship between religion and civil society shows both unsolved conflicts and mutual influences. In this regard, an interesting example is the data concerning religious affiliation, com-pared to a different kind of «affiliation» that only in recent times has emerged as a right deserving protec-tion in social and religious contexts: the gender identity. Starting from the analysis of the inclusive Euro-pean Islam (the part of Islam that accepts LGBTQIA identity instances), this study tries to determine the features of the dialogue between religious and social instances, in order to assess whether and to what ex-tent religious rights and social norms influence and change each other.
