Problemi di stratigrafia linguistica e localizzazione di testi poetici italiani duecenteschi (con un «detto» sull’amicizia di Vivaldo Belcalzer)

The paper (which reproduces the lecture held during the VIII International Seminar of Romance Philology, Naples, 12-13 October 2017 and reflects researches conducted in the context of the project «Chartae Vulgares Antiquiores. The oldest Italoromance texts reproduced, edited and commented») focuses on the problem of stratigraphic analysis of thirteenth century Italoromance poetic texts of uncertain localization, survived in an adventitious form or organically hosted within vernacular miscellanies; in the third paragraph, specific attention is paid to the doubts raised by the localization of the Proverbia quae dicuntur super natura feminarum, arguing, on the basis of new evidence, against the hypothesis of a Venetian origin of the text; in the last paragraph an essay of linguistic stratigraphy is provided, applied to an unpublished piece by the Mantuan notary Vivaldo Belcalzer (Budapest, Eötvös Loránd University Library, Cod. Ital. 3).
