Taking the Renzi government's labour law reforms and, in particular, Legislative Decree no. 81 of 2015 as a starting-point, the author argues that the subject-matter of the work-contract consists of hetero-organised collaboration by the worker. This form of hetero-organisation does not necessarily imply the specific indication of tasks which the worker must actually carry out in performance of the work relationship; the indication of other elements forming part of the work organisation, such as the work timetable, the place where the work is to be done and the means of interaction between the workers themselves being potentially sufficient.
