Relashionship between LCA and C2C approach on a case study is defined. C2C, if appropriately developed in the construction sector, can become a holistic method to analyse the environmental quality of a building. Considering the overhall environmental impact, a material or an element traditionally considered non-sustainable can perform better than a so-called natural one. Analysis of the building sustainability should embrace a holistic approach, giving equal importance both to environmental and energy issues and to those related to indoor comfort, safety, health and users’ satisfaction.

Abstract
