Ebner has always understood himself as a religious thinker. As he resolutely stated, his thought has “two cornerstones: the language and the Word of Christ.” However, it is not possible to reduce the Ebnerian pneumatology only to an I-and-Thou religious relationship. It consists rather in a deep reflection on the origin of the language, that is on the Logos which encloses the whole being in its totality. Furthermore, Ebner – moving beyond the limits of a personalistic philosophy of I-and-Thou – was also a sensitive inquirer of his age and, in particular, of the World War One (from which he always wanted to take distance) and postwar polical moviments.

Abstract
Ebner has always understood himself as a religious thinker. As he resolutely stated, his thought has “two cornerstones: the language and the Word of Christ.” However, it is not possible to reduce the Ebnerian pneumatology only to an I-and-Thou religious relationship. It consists rather in a deep reflection on the origin of the language, that is on the Logos which encloses the whole being in its totality. Furthermore, Ebner – moving beyond the limits of a personalistic philosophy of I-and-Thou – was also a sensitive inquirer of his age and, in particular, of the World War One (from which he always wanted to take distance) and postwar polical moviments.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
