A study was conducted to investigate the influence of plasma nitriding on the plane-bending-fatigue resistance of a 0.5 w/o C-3 w/o Cr-0.5 w/o Mo sinter-hardening steel. The treatment was carried out in an industrial furnace under normal production conditions, while cycle parameters were varied to obtain microstructural characteristics. The plane-bending-fatigue resistance was monitored and compared with that of the PM steel in the as sinter-hardened + tempered condition. Three industrial plasma-nitriding treatments used in the production of wrought steel parts were carried out. The microstructure was fully martensitic at a density of 7.1 g/cm 3 in the sinter-hardened condition.

Abstract
The microstructure was fully martensitic at a density of 7.1 g/cm 3 in the sinter-hardened condition.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione
