This paper presents The Music Room, an interactiveinstallation where couples compose original music. Themusic is generated by Robin, an automatic compositionsystem, according to relative distance between theusers and the speed of their own movements. Proximitymaps the pleasantness of music, while speed maps itsintensity. The Music Room was exhibited during the EUResearchers’ Night in Trento, where it met with astrong interest by visitors.
