L’arte preistorica in Italia. II

This volume presents the proceedings of the 42th Symposium from Italian Institute of Prehistory and Protohistory dedicated to ”The Prehistoric and Protohistoric Art of Italy” hold in Trento, Riva del Garda, Val Camonica on the 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 October 2007. The papers are collected in two volumes and follow the main conference sessions organized on chronological basis. The first volume collects articles which aim to investigate the Paleolithic and Mesolithic art (pp. 15-109); the Neolithic art (pp. 271-272), the method of interpretation of Prehistoric art and history of research (pp. 273-341). The second volume explores the following subjects: postglacial rock art (pp. 15- 183); anthropomorphic steles, statue steles, engraved stones (pp. 185-293); Protohistoric art, from Bronze to Iron Age (pp. 295- 385).
