Abstract

Faults in the regular stacking of atomic planes causes the appearance of extra features in the powder diffraction pattern. In simple cases a Bragg-type approach can be employed for data analysis e.g. within the Whole Powder Pattern Modelling frame. In more complex cases, the true nature of the faulted structure must be considered: an alternative layer-based recursive modelling is proposed
