Abstract
This contribution presents some basic concepts on the scattering of X-rays from electrons and of neutrons from nuclei. For X-rays, starting from the classical Thomson theory, the atomic scattering factor is introduced, including resonant corrections. The most relevant differences between X-ray and neutron scattering are highlighted.File in questo prodotto:
