The paper presents an experimental approach on MSW high energy potential organic fraction characterization for thermal treatment and energy conversion. The main target was the product energy potential estimation based on elemental analysis together with combustibility properties issued from primary analysis. The targeted product consisted mainly in packaging waste. Due to product high heterogeneity the experimental approach was conducted for each MSW main component separately. Solutions for waste to energy conversion are proposed. Further investigations are in progress.

Abstract

The paper presents an experimental approach on MSW high energy potential organic fraction characterization for thermal treatment and energy conversion. The main target was the product energy potential estimation based on elemental analysis together with combustibility properties issued from primary analysis. The targeted product consisted mainly in packaging waste. Due to product high heterogeneity the experimental approach was conducted for each MSW main component separately. Solutions for waste to energy conversion are proposed. Further investigations are in progress.
