The goal of this interdisciplinary workshop is to address the relevance of gender for interaction design, with an emphasis on attitudinal and behavioural differences between males and females in the perception, acceptance, and usage of interactive technologies. Furthermore, we are interested in discussing issues related to the sexualisation of embodied conversational agents, the effect of emotional computing on male and female users and gender-differences in navigation and orientation within virtual worlds. The program will feature the presentation of refereed papers followed by interactive sessions drawn on a number of design scenarios. A part of the discussion will concentrate on the definition of a roadmap for future research.
