This book aims to analyze and assess enterprise restructuring and corporate governance reforms. This is the core issues for the Central and East European countries, including the Czech Republic, Hungary, and the Russian Federation, as they go through the second stage of systemic transformation into a competitive market economy. This second stage follows the initial stage which involves creating social and economic institutions that are vital for establishing a minimum system of market-oriented national economy. Special attention is given to the role of the FDI and multinational companies (MNCs) in this regard.
