Abstract

The synthesis of interferometric arrays is carried out in this paper by considering an analytical technique based on binary sequences, named Almost Difference Sets, with almost ideal autocorrelation properties. By taking advantage of a-priori available information regarding low correlation binary arrangements, the search space for an (exhaustive) optimization procedure is widely reduced. Representative numerical results are reported and discussed.
