Abstract

Dealing with Smart Antennas (SAs), the knowledge of the Directions-of-Arrivals (DOAs) of the signals impinging on the array structure allows one to modify the radiation pattern for steering the maximum along the direction of the desired signal and nulls towards the interferers. The result is an improvement of the performances of the whole communication system and the mitigation of the interference effects [1]. Unfortunately, such an information is rarely available and it must be usually estimated.
