This book presents the results of a research project conducted for the European Commission, aimed at developing an EU template and EU data collection plan for statistical information and analysis on missing and sexually exploited children and trafficking in human beings. In order to develop EU policies capable of tackling the said phenomena in an efficient fashion, these must be based on a proper insight into these phenomena. However, existing related data collection and data collection systems show a lot of shortcomings. Data on missing and sexually exploited children and trafficking in human beings are often incomparable, unreliable, incomplete and simply missing. The Siamsect project wants to overcome these problems. This book contains a proposal for three templates, one for each of the phenomena covered. It furthermore includes a data collection plan as a practical application tool for standardised completion of the templates. The book is essential reading for policy makers, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organisations, judicial and law enforcement authorities and researchers throughout the European Union or at the broader international level dealing with the said phenomena. Furthermore, it will be appealing to anyone involved in the fight against missing and sexually exploited children and trafficking in human beings.

Abstract
Furthermore, it will be appealing to anyone involved in the fight against missing and sexually exploited children and trafficking in human beings.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione
