Within the APSAT project (Ambiente e Paesaggi dei Siti d’Altura Trentini), several studies have been performed with the aim to analyze, under different points of view, the phenomena of the “shepherd’s graffiti”, an example of rock art on the Cornón mountain. The present contribution, in particular, takes into account the archaeometrical point of view; several analytical techniques have been used to investigate the provenience of the raw material responsible of the red coloration of the writings and the binding media possibly used by the shepherds for pigment dispersion and application on the rocky substrate.

Abstract
