Aperiodic/irregular modular and scalable phased arrays (PAs) reduce costs and complexity while improving flexibility. However, irregular tiling introduces complexity in beamforming and feeding structures. This work proposes a novel method for designing irregular/aperiodic tiled PAs with user-defined constraints, optimizing tiling layouts and weights to minimize the side lobe level (SLL) of the array radiation pattern during beam scanning within a limited field of view. The approach addresses geometric and feeding limitations to match predefined feeding structures. A case study demonstrates its effectiveness in minimizing the SLL in modular PA designs.
