The article presents the archive of Pietro Ellero, university professor of Criminal Law, magistrate and senator of the newly unified Kingdom of Italy, following the analytical archival description of the fonds. It begins with a biographical note on the creator, a reconstruction of the archive’s history, and a description of the series within the fonds. Finally, some concluding remarks address the characteristics of intentionality and deliberateness in the process of formation and organization of the documentation, attributable not only to the creator but also to other figures who became bearers of its memory.
