Micro-aggressioni di genere all’università. Analisi del fenomeno e direzioni di ricerca psico-sociale

Gender micro-aggressions refer to behaviours, statements, or environmental cues – intentional or unintentional- that convey derogatory or devaluing messages toward women. They can reinforce stereotypes and structural inequalities while negatively affecting the well-being and career of the targets. This contribution presents the phenomenon through a psycho-social perspective, and the main findings of an ongoing research at the University of Trento. The research aims to investigate gender micro-aggressions in academic settings and develop practical and scientifically grounded tools for detecting and counteracting them. By promoting more inclusive and equitable university environments, this initiative contributes to advancing gender equity within Italian higher education institutions.
