The analysis proposed in this contribution is part of the study of narration understood as an activity (rather than as a textual genre) and considered from an eminently enunciative and pragmatic perspective. The data under observation consist more precisely of oral narratives mainly of an autobiographical nature, collected in Italy and France within the framework of interviews. After describing the nature of the data, the context and the objectives of their constitution, the study will focus on the analysis of some linguistic-pragmatic aspects that illustrate structural and discursive traits peculiar or common to the two macro-types of narration under study. The aim is to highlight some interesting strategies employed by narrators to verbalise their lived experiences, actualise them and reinterpret them in a constant process of re-elaboration that also leads one to question the construction of identity and/or a shared (historical and linguistic) memory to be included in a patrimonialization process.
