In the context of next-generation wireless networks, Static Passive Electromagnetic Skins (SP-EMSs) are regarded as a critical building block for the implementation of the Smart Electromagnetic Environment (SEME). This work covers recent advancements in SP-EMS design methodologies, outlining the open issues and future perspectives on the subject. Additionally, an illustrative numerical example is reported as proof of the remarkable potentialities of SP-EMSs.

Abstract
In the context of next-generation wireless networks, Static Passive Electromagnetic Skins (SP-EMSs) are regarded as a critical building block for the implementation of the Smart Electromagnetic Environment (SEME). This work covers recent advancements in SP-EMS design methodologies, outlining the open issues and future perspectives on the subject. Additionally, an illustrative numerical example is reported as proof of the remarkable potentialities of SP-EMSs.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
