This work considers the design of Electromagnetic Skins (EMS) that demonstrate remarkable field manipulation capabilities and employ cost-effective materials. Towards this end, a synthesis strategy based on Non-Radiating (NR) sources is devised, exploiting the null-space of the radiation operator. Preliminary results indicate that significant performance improvements are achieved compared to standard approaches.
