The computationally-efficient solution of fully non-linear inverse scattering problems (ISPs) arising in electromagnetic computational imaging (EM-CI) is addressed. In this context, the main concepts and theoretical pillars of the System-by-Design (SbD), a paradigm enabling the fast (yet reliable) solution of complex EM problems formulated as global optimization ones, are summarized. Moreover, an overview of some of its most recent applications is given.

Abstract
The computationally-efficient solution of fully non-linear inverse scattering problems (ISPs) arising in electromagnetic computational imaging (EM-CI) is addressed. In this context, the main concepts and theoretical pillars of the System-by-Design (SbD), a paradigm enabling the fast (yet reliable) solution of complex EM problems formulated as global optimization ones, are summarized. Moreover, an overview of some of its most recent applications is given.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
